“Mini-Lungs” May Hold the Key to Curing Lung Disease

Scientists are doing amazing things with stem cells. Most recently, scientists used stem cells to grow a set of “mini-lungs” in order to research lung disease. The end goal is to produce drugs which will prove effective in combatting the disease, and gaining insight into how sensitive lung tissue will react to such drugs is paramount.
