Children are fascinated by treehouses. There’s simply a sense of adventure that we all intuitively turn to. Some of the most interesting architecture today is being constructed using bamboo! While this may seem like a throwback to the Swiss Family Robinson, the truth is that bamboo offers plenty of opportunities that other materials simply don’t. For example, bamboo – due to its flexibility- is largely earthquake resistant. This can prove immensely useful if you’re living in an especially earthquake prone region. While this might seem new to this, bamboo has been in use in the tropics for thousands of years! But what will it take to convince people that bamboo is worth building with?
