When Fighting Cancer, It’s All In The Magnolia Bark

The key to getting closer to a cure to cancer might be found in traditional Chinese medicine, at least according to modern medical researchers. Magnolia bark, for long a staple of Chinese and Japanese medicines, has long been shown to have many positive affects from relieving abdominal discomfort to relief of cramps and nausea. It wasn’t until recently however that researchers began noticing that contained within magnolia bark might be a cancer fighting compound known as “honokiol.” Whether further research into the medicinal bark bears fruit remains to be seen.
